The Rooms Have Eyes Homepage
General
This program records video-streams from different video-sources to avi-files using a timing/calendar engine and may be used for video surveillance purposes. Please note, that it may be required to get an authorization to do video surveillance. Your local laws may need additional requirements; it's up to the user to ensure a proper, ethical and lawful usage.
Usage
After installing the program, some settings have to be changed in the Settings.xml file:
- First, check if the holidays are correct for your local needs. Therefore, have a look at the nodes "week" (for weekly holidays) and "isholiday" for other holidays.
- Then select the number of used video-sources. You may set the number in the node "main/camcount".
- After you've checked/changed these settings, you may start the program. Nearly all other settings can be changed in the GUI.
- Attention: All changes in the GUI will only be saved by clicking the "Save Settings" button.
- Some details can only be finetuned in the Settings.xml file. Please have a look at the commented setting-file.
